There’s just nothing else quite like life drawing. It’s very self indulgent and completely absorbing. It’s a simple and natural pleasure to admire the human body. Everybody loves Nature and will easily enjoy a landscape or a still life. But folk are shy about admiring the nude. I think of the naked body as Nature’s gift to us and as our way to connect most directly with Nature. Life drawing is a way to experience that connection and to discover the simple pleasure of enjoying a nude body.
